AS4 Market Communication and Scheduling
Communication related to data exchange in the German power markets (MaKo) must be handled between involved parties through AS4 web services by latest 1st April 2024. The exchange of power scheduling messages with the German TSOs is due to be switched from encrypted email to AS4 web service by 1st December 2024 the latest. For gas nominations and market communcition the deadline is the 1st of April 2025

Time to act?
If your company exchanges power schedule messages with the German TSOs Amprion, 50 Hertz, TransnetBW or TenneT, you are a balance responsible party and affected by the changes outlined below:
Starting latest 01.04.2024 you need to be able to receive the MaBiS EDIFACT messages (MSCONS, PRICAT), which are currently sent to you by encrypted and signed email, via AS4 Protocol. There will be no alternative channel to receive those messages.
Latest by 01.12.2024 your power schedule message exchange (ESS) with the TSOs must be switched from encrypted email to AS4 as well. This applies to all scheduling messages (Schedule, Acknowledgement, Confirmation, Anormally Report).
